Weekly Bible Studies for Women

There are currently several Women’s Bible Studies held at the church and in different homes.  All women are welcomed to attend any of these studies.  The topics of the studies do change so for more detailed information on the current study or directions to someone’s home, please contact the church office at 540-894-4234. 
 

Ladies’ Bible Study:	Mondays, 9:30a.m.-11:00a.m. in the Church Library.  Led by Opal Parsons.  Do not meet on holidays.
Ladies’ Bible Study:	Tuesdays at 6:30p.m.   Led by Betsy Burt at a member's home.  Contact Betsy (540) 854-8251  for place,  time and directions.
Seasonal Ladies’ Bible Study	Fall – Spring.  Tuesdays,  at 7:00p.m. at Debby Read’s home, led by Debby.  Contact:  (540) 894-5830 - Begins *Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 7-9 pm.  2nd and 4th Tuesday each month.  Sept. 8 & 22, Oct. 13 & 27, Nov. 10 & 24, and Dec. 8.  Beth Moore study of Esther.  Let Debby know if you plan to attend so she can order you a workbook.  *Day Change

Marriage and Relationship Ministries:

MBC understands that marriage, although given to us by a loving God who intended the bond between husband and wife to be one of his greatest and most fulfilling gifts, doesn't come with an owner's manual or a guarantee of success.  Indeed, current statistics suggest that we face significant challenges building the  kind of relationship God intended in marriage.  MBC presents a series of powerful courses aimed at helping couples understand what it takes to make a successful marriage and to identify and understand areas where they need some help.

"Love and Respect"

This twelve week DVD/discussion program is designed for couples facing the challenges of marriage, new or after many years,  and feeling that things just aren't working quite right.  For couples in marriages that are fulfilling, the series provides some powerful tips for tuning up an already smooth-running relationship. The widely-acclaimed Love and Respect series is based on twelve DVD sessions with...     Dr. Emerson Eggrichs,          ...taught locally by MBC's Ed and Debby Read.  The series begins on Sunday, January 18th, 2009 at 7:00PM and continues for twelve Sundays.  Plans for child care are being developed. Optional series workbooks will be available for $ 8.00 each. This series deals with relationships in marriage from a point of view you may not have considered, getting right down to the key factors that make relationships succeed or struggle; "giving her the love she desires, and him the respect he so desparately needs."
