A Christ Centered Community for Your Entire Family

Mineral Baptist Church is called to be a spiritual lighthouse to the community: bringing people to Jesus and helping them live a life of obedience to Him.
The lighthouse provides a true expression of our commitment to be that spiritual lighthouse to our community and beyond: placed directly in the often storm-tossed seas of life; tended in love; offering haven and help to all who need a beacon in life’s journey.
Mineral Baptist Church exists to bring people to Jesus, and to membership in His church, guide them in a maturing faith, equip them for ministry in the church and in the world, and thereby enable them to magnify God by serving their fellow man and community.

Concert: Laura Ann Singh, Chris Lucas

Join us: April 22nd 6-7pm

Renowned vocalist, Laura Ann Singh partners with guitarist Chris Lucas for this special collaboration concert 6pm Sunday, May 20 in the historic sanctuary of Mineral Baptist Church. Admission is free. A freewill love offering will be collected as a sign of appreciation.

Laura Ann is best known for her interpretations of Brazilian and Latin music. With roots in Appalachian bluegrass and rustic, 4-part hymn singing, but immersed in the big band and jazz classics, her eclectic music interests eventually led her to co-found the Quatro da Bossa quartet, performing Brazilian music throughout the country, including at the Lincoln Center. Laura Ann opened for Ray Charles in 2003 at the Landmark Theater with pianist, Tommy Witten, and in the early 2000's, she also performed with Carnegie Hall jazz band leader Jon Faddis, bebop trombonist Curtis Fuller, and violinist Joe Kennedy. She founded the group Miramar, reviving Latin American romantic music from the 50's and 60's, exploring the bolero's worldwide influence, and performing original material. She recently launched a small label, Incline Thine Ear Music, to record original sacred music. For a sample of Laura's worshipful sacred music, visit: https://inclinethineear.bandcamp.com/
