The Proper Connection

Connection is extremely important. The question for us all is, "who are we connected to?" John 15 emphasizes our need to be connected to Him using the illustration of vines and branches in order to bear the fruit Jesus intends. Connection is just the first step as part of being on the vine is to be pruned as well. Ken Kessler reminds us that just as a gardener prunes vines to ensure a good harvest, God prunes our lives to help us grow spiritually and fulfill our potential. This connection and pruning allows us to live into the joy God provides.
