CHILDREN'S MINISTRY AT MINERAL BAPTIST
At Mineral Baptist our children (infant through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.

what is available for my child?
Throughout the school year (August through May), we have regular weekly programs for our children on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. During the summer, we host Vacation Bible School - a week long camp-like experience where children learn about God in exciting and memorable ways.
Sunday mornings
CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL
From 9:45-10:45am, we offer several classes for our pre-school through 5th grade students. Children may be dropped off in the Education Wing of our main building, where you and your children will be greeted by one of our volunteers, checked into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead the children to the age appropriate room. At the beginning of the Sunday School hour all children will meet together for a time of singing and then led to their appropriate classroom. Once a month the children open our 11am worship service with songs they learn during this time.
CHILDREN'S CHURCH
During our 11am service, we offer Children's Church for our children ages 4 through 2nd grade. During this time, we teach them a Bible lesson, sings songs, do crafts, play games, and some weeks we have a special visit from our puppet team! Check-in takes place in the main Sanctuary before the 11am service. During the service the children are dismissed to the Fellowship Hall (which is right across from the Sanctuary). Children may be picked up at the Fellowship Hall after the service.

During both services and the Sunday School hour, we offer to parents of infants through 3 years old our nursery. The check in station is outside our nursery room which across the hall from our main Sanctuary.

AWANA (AGE 2 THROUGH 5TH GRADE) - 6:00-7:30pm
Mineral Baptist's Awana program runs from August through May each year in conjunction with the Louisa County Public School calendar. (If the schools cancel or let out early due to inclement weather, Awana is cancelled for that night.)
Awana is the acronym for "Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed" which is found in 2 Timothy 2:15. Awana is an international, Bible-centered children and youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs and programs focused on Biblical truth and Scripture memorization. Our goal is to reach boys and girls, and their families, with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him and love Him.
Here at Mineral we offer the following four groups:

puggles
(Ages 2-3 years old)
Puggles focuses on introducing young children to biblical truth and seeks to equip parents to teach their children these truths at home.
cubbies
(Pre-K)
Cubbies focuses on the spiritual potential of this age group by helping them develop respect for God, His Son, and His Word.
sparks
(Kindergarten through 2nd Grades)
Sparks seeks to ignite the natural curiosity of this age group by introducing them to the people and events in the Bible and building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. Also, they are introduced to Sparky!
truth & Training (T&T)
(3rd through 5th Grades)
T & T teaches older elementary children the truth of God's Word and trains them to follow Him and practice His grace.
SUMMER: vACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
(VBS 2020 cancelled due to covid-19)

VBS is usually held during a week in June: Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm.
VBS is open to children from ages 3 up to the 5th grade.
This year our theme is "Rocky Railway" created by Group curriculum.
"Climb aboard for mountains of fun at Rocky Railway! On this faith-filled adventure, kids discover that trusting Jesus pulls them through life’s ups and downs."
