The Tragedy of Misplaced Vision
May 26, 2024 • Ken Kessler
In John 13, we explore Jesus' last moments with His disciples, focusing on themes of service and betrayal. Jesus washes the disciples' feet, emphasizing servanthood. However, amidst this act of love, Judas, one of the chosen disciples, betrays him, highlighting that betrayal often starts within trusted relationships. Ken Kessler, interim pastor, encourages us to reflect on our own journey and commitment to Jesus, especially during times of transition, like moving from one pastor to another. We are called to choose light over darkness, staying committed to Jesus' vision of love and service, and responding with repentance and commitment when we falter.
