The Bow and the Towel
Ken Kessler, from the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV), returns to Mineral Baptist as interim pastor following our former pastor's recent retirement. Ken highlights God's goodness and the need to thrive during the pastoral transition. He urges the congregation to embrace this period positively, as Jesus has plans for everyone. Ken explores this idea in connection to John 13-17, focusing on Jesus' teachings before His departure, especially the lesson of servitude shown by washing the disciples' feet in a culture where the Lord does the job of a slave. Thriving during this time of transition involves humility and service, remembering that Jesus understands our struggles and guides us. Ken calls the congregation to unity, prayer, and mutual support during this transitional time, encouraging everyone to bow in service to one another.
