The Courage to Be

In John 16, Jesus prepares His disciples for the coming sorrow of his departure but promises their sorrow will turn to joy. Jesus uses the metaphor of a woman in labor to illustrate how pain can give way to joy. Ken Kessler likens this to moments of fear and uncertainty in life, urging people to trust God's plan even when they don't fully understand it. Through Jesus, believers can find peace and joy, even in difficult times. As believers in Jesus, we have direct access to God through prayer. One should courageously seek clarity and joy, trusting in God's presence and promises amidst life’s confusion and trials.
